Next year, the Seattle Kagoshima Club will celebrate its 120th anniversary.
来年、シアトル鹿児島県人会は120周年を迎えます。
The black-and-white photograph above was taken on April 16, 1950, and features members of the Kagoshima community together with leaders of Seattle’s Japanese and Japanese American community.
上の白黒写真は、1950年4月16日に撮影された、鹿児島県人会と日系人会主要メンバーの皆さまです。
We are deeply grateful to those who came before us and helped build and preserve this community over many generations.
長い年月にわたり、シアトルで鹿児島とのつながりを守り、このコミュニティを築いてこられた先人の皆さまに、心より敬意と感謝を申し上げます。
The color photograph shows our most recent New Year gathering. Although times and generations have changed, the joy of coming together and celebrating our connection to Kagoshima remains the same.
カラー写真は昨年度の新年会の様子です。時代や世代が変わっても、人が集い、交流し、鹿児島とのご縁を感じる場所であることは今も変わりません。
Our Board Members are now preparing for our 120th Anniversary New Year Celebration. Many details are still being discussed, but we hope to create a warm and memorable event that honors our history and looks toward the future.
現在、Board Membersでは120周年記念新年会に向けて準備を進めています。詳細はまだ検討中ですが、これまでの歴史に感謝しながら、これからの県人会につながる温かく楽しい会にしたいと考えています。
We are also looking for volunteers who would like to help make this milestone celebration special.
We also gratefully welcome donations to support the anniversary celebration and future activities of the Seattle Kagoshima Club.
また、この節目の会を一緒につくっていただけるボランティアの方を募集しています。 あわせて、120周年記念事業や今後の活動へのご支援・ご寄付もありがたく受け付けています。
